Since 1600, the Tenuta Del Monsignore has its main premises in the village of San Giovanni in Marignano, Rimini. It extends over an area of about 135 hectares of which 85 are vineyards and 13 of which are Olive groves. Quality Wine needs quality grapes. Our Vineyards are high density and Tie Free which means that the vine shoots are not fastened to the wire threads. Sun and fresh air easily penetrate into the heart of the vegetation so favoring an excellent maturation process yielding superior wine making grapes. The good quality of the land and soil, the setting of the vineyards, the exposition of our Microclimate and our four centuries of experience are the art and mastery that yield such high quality DOC Wines. Our wine cellar is adjacent to the main house which incorporates the remains of the old buildings dating back to the early 18th century, in a harmonious symbiosis of tradition and modern technology. You will find our olive groves and vineyards on the sunny hillsides at approximately 1, 300 feet above sea level. The nature of the land and the special climate are the best premise for a quality production. The wines and Extra Virgin olive oil are made from grapes and olives grown only on the family owned properties. Our Red Wine Portfolio contains, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Terrano.
